Sissi and Yifei's Cherry Blossom Engagement Session

It has become a fun tradition to head back to campus @ the University of Washington during this time of the year. The cherry blossoms are blooming at the Quads, the temperature finally warms up, and there is a flood of people checking out this scenery. The atmosphere is exciting but can definitely be a hindrance for a photo shoot. Fortunately, Sissi and Yifei were willing to wake up at 5am to prepare for this engagement session. The sun wasn't up yet, but this was the only way to ensure we had enough open space to get the pictures in. Right as light became available, we shot! I never get tired of taking pictures of couples here during cherry blossom season. The way the flowers arch and loom over this part of campus is amazing. The soft morning light complimented the couple's smiles and interactions. Sissi and Yifei even brought along their cats for a few pictures! The couple originally met each other when they were students at the UW. Because of this, it was nostalgic and memorable for them to revisit this setting for their engagement session. I'm looking forward to capturing more memories for them later this year during their wedding!
