Allie and James's Engagement Session @ Carkeek Park

It was a warm and beautiful evening at Carkeek Park with Allie and James. I remember first meeting them at a coffee shop on a cold and rainy afternoon last year. In a blink of an eye, here we are. What a contrast it was, as the temperature and scenery was perfect for a summer evening engagement session. Allie and James are super fun to work with, and I truly enjoyed my time taking their photos. They are one of those couples who are naturally comfortable in front of the camera and have fun with each other as if I'm not even there. Both their smiles and laughter fuel each other, and in return, make my job a total breeze. I can already tell from this session that shooting them on their wedding day later this year will be just as fun. The cool thing about Carkeek Park (located in North Seattle) is that it's set up in sections or layers. They have a portion of trails for the hikers, a running stream, train tracks, and a beach area filled with drift wood. You throw all that together with awesome lighting and a fun couple, you have a recipe for great images.
